Programme of Events: “The Miracle of Life”

The Heraklion Archaeological Museum invites you to join the events taking place at the Museum over the festive period marking the birth of Christ and the coming of the New Year. This year's events are themed around “The Miracle of Life”. The material testimonies of the past are used to highlight human attitudes to and expressions of the mystery of birth and the miracle of life.

Students of the 5th Vocational Lyceum of Heraklion tour the Museum exhibition rooms, observing and drawing the shapes and forms of an ancient symbol marking the coming of the New Year: the ship.

The Heraklion Municipal Youth Choir presents polyphonic hymns and Christmas carols from all over the world.
